4月18日，周立波在紐約宣布，將會于7月8日在紐約卡耐基音樂廳進行“海派清口”相聲——《唱時代的歌說自己的笑話》專場演出。

Zhou Libo will become the first-ever Chinese stand-up comedian to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York.

對全球古典音樂與流行音樂藝術家來說，位于紐約曼哈頓的卡內基音樂廳無疑是殿堂級圣地，而周立波此次將要在這里進行跨界演出，震驚四座。據主辦方表示，周立波是一百多年來首位在卡內基登臺的非音樂類華人藝術家。

Located in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, Carnegie Hall has long been regarded as one of the most prestigious venues in the world for both classical music and popular music. Well-known for his Shanghai Style Small Talk, the 48-year-old comedian is set to bring his show "Sing our generation's songs, tell my own jokes" to the world-renowned venue.

發布會上，周立波表示，很榮幸能夠在紐約進行演出，“我很喜歡紐約這個城市，它跟我的家鄉上海都有美麗的天際線，是兩個感覺很相似的城市?！?/p>

Zhou says it's a great honor for him to perform in New York City, and he believes "New York and Shanghai are very similar cities with beautiful skylines and wonderful people."

48歲的周立波在2006年上海蘭心大劇院舉辦了復出后的首場演出，以獨特的喜劇風格自創“海派清口”流派，一炮而紅；后因《壹周立波秀》的播出，在中國觀眾中贏得了大量粉絲。

The comedian first shot to fame in 2006, with his unique comedic style that is delivered in a linguistic mixture of Mandarin Chinese, Shanghai dialect, and some English words and phrases. He has named his style "Shanghai Style Small Talk," and it has won a considerable fan base among Chinese audiences. Zhou also created "Mr. Zhou Live Show," which is considered by some as the first television comedic talk show in China.
